Noel has claimed that he is now "an outsider" to the music business and admitted that his days of selling millions of albums are over.
The former Oasis chief told The Daily Record that he was unlikely to replicate the chart success he enjoyed with his old band, but said he was now focusing on making albums that would last the test of time.
"There was a point in the '90s that my music was at the centre of the music world but I am an outsider now and I don't mind that," he said.
He then added:
The guitarist, who released his solo LP 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' last month (October 17), also insisted he had no regrets about quitting Oasis.
"I don't regret leaving the band, " he said. "I regret leaving that night when there were a load of people in a field waiting for us to go and play. That wasn't very cool. But I don't regret leaving because it couldn't have gone on any longer."
For the past several weeks, both Liam and Noel have publicly sparred over the prospect of an Oasis reunion, with the Beady Eye frontman revealing he would eventually like to reunite with his older sibling, only for Noel to reject his offer of an olive branch.
